Bohol Island is one of the best places to visit in the Philippines. This place has tremendous things to offer, so much that many tourists have a hard time to select the most important things to see in their limited time.
The scenic view like the chocolate hills and plateau is a famous point in BOHOL. Apart from this, Bohol has a world class beach resort, beautiful and popular diving spots, crystal springs and waterfalls, astounding wild life and a picturesque province with ancestral homes and century’s old churches .famous. This Bohol province has fascinating natural wonders where tourist wants to see it. Bohol is known as the home of the world’s smallest monkey, TARSIER which they can be found in the hills of Corella. Bohol has numerous isles along its coastline. Panglao, Pamilacan, Cabilao, Jao, Mahanay and Lapinin are the world famous isles. These isles are also the home of the world class dive spots. If you’re diving enthusiast the island of Balicasag offers a protected sanctuary, if you don’t know how to dive, you can still see a lot of marine life just by snorkelling. The diving spot in Bohol is well-known for its splendid walls, variety of marine creatures and beautiful underwater scenery. Most of the beach resort in Panglao Island offer dive packages to the house reef or nearby islands.
Another interesting tour to take is the dolphin and whale watching tour, which takes you on a motorized outrigger boat ride neat Pamilacan island, playground of the dolphins. On a good and calm day, one may see schools of dolphins encircling your boat, jumping and spinning. A bit of patience is needed as sometimes they do not appear right away. After seeing the dolphins the boat takes you to the island to snorkel in the marine sanctuary and have a picnic lunch.
If interested in Zip lining, the Tagbilaran City is the Danao adventure Park where one can go through a wide gorge, wall climbing, kayaking, rappelling and other eco adventures.
You can explore Bohol in different ways, by self drive car or motorcycles, travel guided tour, using public utilities vehicle or rent a car with driver. You can probably see most of the famous tourist destinations in Bohol, but it will depend on how much time you’ll spend in each touristic place.
Apart from tourist places, you can visit the rest of the island where you can admire beautiful places such as waterfalls, beautiful landscape, caves, unspoiled beaches and mangroves forest like in Banacon Island, Getafe and Candijay. There are some beautiful islets with white sand beaches and sandbars where you can enjoy swimming and snorkelling and diving.
The best time to travel to Bohol is from December until April but ever after this, it’s still nice since the beaches and the prices for hotels come down a little.
